Africa International Horror Film Festival 2022, Call for Submissions

The Africa International Horror Film Festival is an annual event committed to reviving the African horror cinema by promoting and celebrating the works of African and International independent horror filmmakers. Our first edition had over 3,000 submissions from filmmakers all around the world.

We are now accepting submissions for its second edition. The submission portal opened on the 5th of February and will run through to 31st August, 2022.

Meet The Winners of The 2021 Africa International Horror Film Festival

African International Horror Film Festival is a horror film festival based in Lagos, Nigeria committed to riving the African Horror Cinema and giving independent horror filmmakers in Africa and beyond a platform to showcase and promote their works.  The first edition which held at Freedom park Lagos, Nigeria from the 23rd to the 25th of October 2021 screened 92 films, had Q&A Sessions with the filmmakers and at the end 8 winners emerged.
